Habit Data: Ember stores your habit information, including habit names, completion records, streaks, and reminder settings. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account.
We do NOT collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address)
- Location data
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Any data for advertising purposes
Data Storage
Local Storage: All your habit data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by iOS.
iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit technology. This data is encrypted and only accessible by you through devices signed into your Apple ID.
Backups: You can create manual backups that are stored locally or in your iCloud Drive. These backups are under your control.
Third-Party Services
Ember uses the following Apple services:
- iCloud/CloudKit: For syncing data across your devices (optional)
- StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases
- Notifications: For sending habit reminders (optional)
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple handles all payment processing according to their privacy policy.
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:
- All iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Local data is stored using iOS secure storage
- We do not transmit your data to any external servers
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: View all your data within the app
- Export: Create backups of your data anytime
- Delete: Delete individual habits or all data
- Portability: Export your data in a portable format
Children's Privacy
Ember does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages and does not require any personal information to use.
